Meg's Blog

Off to England

Well, goodbye, I am leaving for my UK tour now, I will be gone until mid-October. I will try to blog while I am there, but I don't really know if I will have access to Internet service while I'm there, or that if I do, I will be able to figure out how to work it. I'm hoping so, but I'm not holding my breath.

Anyway, the worst part, besides the potential lack of Internet access, is that my TiVo is NOT WORKING because it's not set up!!!! I really don't want to get into it, but let's just say the TiVo is near the kitchen which still isn't done so the TV is covered in plastic to protect it from the sawdust.

So I would be eternally grateful to any of you who would PLEASE send me summaries of what happens on any of the following shows:

Joan of Arcadia
The Degrassi premiere and the next episode after it
Rescue Me
Dead Like Me
North Shore
Veronica Mars
ER (although I'm starting not to care)
and whatever else you think I would like but am not watching because I don't know what night anything is on since all they ever have on TV here lately is hurricane coverage.

And for those of you in England, I will see you at the following events, which will be the only ones I'm doing that are open to the public (but don't think just because you don't see an event one day that I am getting a fun tour of the Tower of London or whatever because I assure you I will be working like a dog the whole time. I will be on BBC Breakfast on the morning of Wednesday, October 6, and Blue Peter later that night, for instance):

In closing, I would just like to say:

Britney, I am deeply disappointed in you. Really, what were you thinking? You are almost as bad as Claire Danes for stealing Billy Crudup from 8 month pregnant Mary Louise Parker, not to mention J-Lo for stealing Marc Antony from HIS pregnant wife. I realize Billy Crudup and Kevin Federline weren't married to the mothers of their children, but that still doesn't give Claire and Britney the right to break up a family, no matter how dysfunctional that family might have been.

Worse, now Britney will NEVER be able to marry Prince William. I'm sure he's as disappointed in her as I am. I'll ask him when I see him in England later this week, but I know what he's going to say: “I'm gob-smacked.”

As am I, frankly. I was so looking forward to meeting Queen Britney at Buckingham Palace someday.

More later.

Much love,
