H2BP

HOW TO BE POPULAR is in US stores TODAY!

Here's a special Google video of me reading from my favorite part (that's an advanced reader copy I'm holding, not the actual book. The book is hardcover) of H2BP (as I like to call it) at Book Expo America last May! Click here to see the video—and turn up the sound!

And in case you don't believe that there's a fish weathervane on top of an Indiana courthouse like the one featured in H2BP, here's the proof—the fish weathervane on top of the Monroe County Courthouse in Bloomington, Indiana:

Close up:

It's three feet long! And upside down! And look, they still have the Christmas lights up! And it's July! Love those Hoosiers….

And Hoosiers are sharin' the love: Here's a cute article about HOW TO BE POPULAR from the Indianapolis Star!

I'm off to Atlanta. Hope you'll catch me on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at SEVEN AM on GOOD DAY ATLANTA (come on: if I can get up that early, so can you. And you can watch in your pajamas, then go back to bed).

Then later, look for me at the “Readers for Life” Literacy Autographing at the 26th Annual RWA Conference in Atlanta, GA on July 26, 2006 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in the Atlanta Marriott Marquis hotel (admission to the signing is free—all proceeds from book sales go to support literacy!)

Then check out my dual signings at the MARGARET MITCHELL HOUSE & MUSEUM on Thursday, July 27, 2006 from 4PM on (4PM Meg Cabot Princess Tea, 6PM Adult Signing/Lecture with fellow authors Julia Quinn, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, and Stephanie Laurens). You can get your VERY OWN copy of HOW TO BE POPULAR, signed and everything!

Lastly, here's my new favorite band. Save Ginny Weasley! Are you listening, JK?

More later.

Much love,

Meg
